“Kuby” was funny, gracious, and kind – always a gentleman! If he was ever angry, he never showed it. If he was ever worried, his friends never knew it. He was as dependable as the sun, the moon, and the stars. He was loved by many and trusted by all who knew him. Heaven gained one of earth’s finest! May he rest in everlasting peace!

Only by chance did I hear about your departure Dr.Kuby. You are one of my most favorite people that I have had the honor to be around. You brought my sons into this world with your patience and laughter. And continued to care for me through three marriages without judgement, just asking which of my four last names would I like to be called by.
Your kindness and grace was experienced by many! Thank you Dr.Kuby for caring for women and their babies. You lived a life dedicated to women’s health and friendship! A hero to many…Godspeed Kuby
I will continue to remember you fondly especially when I see my sons!!

Dr. Kubycheck was the best. There are many, but I remember taking care of one of Kuby’s patients in particular. Her last name was Wilbur.
Every time he came to the unit asking about her he would say “Catherine, how’s Mrs Willlll-burrr?” He said it in Mr Ed’s voice. I can still hear him saying it.
He always walked into the patients room and said to the laboring mom, “Oh please. Don’t get up.”
He never left a room after a delivery without helping the nurse put the bed back together. He went and got warm blankets and pushed the delivery table out of the room. Every. Single. Time.
He would give us his credit card to order lunch on a Sunday when he was on call. He would say, “Just order me whatever you’re having.” He was so generous.
I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. Never heard a negative word about him either. A true gentleman in every sense. Labor and Delivery can be stressful at times, but in 20 years, I never saw Kuby lose his cool. He was always calm. And always kind. A caring doctor toward his patients and staff.
He loved his wife and family so much. He was so proud of all his kids. He was the epitome of a good man and a good Catholic. He lived out his faith everyday.
I could go on and on. He will be missed. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Fondly, Catherine Lebert RN

Dr. Kubycheck was my OB for many years and saw us through some very difficult times and brought our youngest (now 31) safely into the world. I will never forget his kindness and compassion and the extraordinary good care I received. Our condolences and prayers for your family. He was a wonderful doctor and person.
