Lester Dean Odell

Lester Dean Odell, age 63, longtime resident of Elmhurst, former business owner of a Xerox Agency; Lester was a charming, funny and always had a smile for everyone; he faced life with courage, resilience, and unwavering optimism, despite the challenges he encountered. Throughout his life, Lester exemplified strength and determination in the face of adversity. Even as Parkinson’s disease presented its obstacles, he remained steadfast in his resolve to live life to the fullest, inspiring all who knew him with his resilience and grace. While Parkinson’s may have posed limitations, it never diminished his spirit. He continued to find joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing moments with family and friends. His courage, kindness and perseverance will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Lester was the beloved father of Al Odell; dear brother of Eric (Joyce) Odell, Delivan Odell, Tommy (Diane) Odell and Judy (the late Joe) Truett; uncle of many; friendly former spouse of Margaret “Peg” Odell; cherished son of the late Gladys Welch and the late Lester D.
