My heartfelt condolences. Pat was an amazing lady. I interned for her over 30 years ago, working on her talk show and with her producer the children’s program ‘Jig Saw Studio’. She loved the arts & media & people and blessed everyone she met. Without her influences I may have never made it in television. Thanks to ‘the Oprah of Elmhurst’ I have worked & been successful in the industry for 3 decades. If it wasn’t for Pat and many others I met because of her & her encouragement none of that would have happened. She was truly lovely & generous and I like many others are better for having known her. She will be missed.

So sorry to read this. Pat & I go back to highschool friends. We always referred to each as “twin” being born on the same day. Will always remember her as my twin. Pat had a lot of talent & used it graciously. Saying goodbye to my twin with tears.

I also worked with Pat at Continental Cablevision and have such fond memories of that time in my life. She had such a positive presence both on-screen as well as off. She was such a genuine force of life, a leader, a teacher and a true professional. She is not gone from this world, she’s immortalized on videotape, and her In Memoriam will fade to white.

So sorry to read this news. Pat & I were high school friends. Always referred to each as “twin “. Born on the same day. Pat was a gifted person & displayed it modestly. So long “twin”.

I used to be a regular guest on the show “ Lifestyles “ way back in the days of Continental Cable Vision. Pat was responsible for getting me started on TV as an intuitive. I frequented her show for over a decade. I just learned of her passing and am truly saddened. She did so much to help the community and especially her work with children. She was a talented artist and I remember when she retired from Lifestyles and moving to Kankakee because she wanted to paint. Her kindness, Acceptance of others, talent and nuturing will be missed. She was affectionately referred to as “ The mother of Chicago” during her television career. She truly lived that title . Once way back in the late 1980’s was hospitalized and the first call I received wishing me well was from Pat. She always did nice heartfelt things for others. She has been an inspiration in my life.
