Rosemary Castillo, 75, of Chicago, passed away at 12:17 am on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Guatemala City on June 2, 1948, to Oscar and Elvira (Cano) Repelin. Rosemary cherished her family above all as a dedicated daughter, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening and growing flowers. Retired employee of CNA Insurance with 30 years of service; member of Grupo Entre Amigas Del Metropolitan Family Center, Club del Libro de Chicago, and 25th Police District Seniors Club. Survived by her mother, Elvira Repelin; daughter, Ingrid Castillo; grandsons, Julio Alejandro and Daniel Joseph Castillo; brothers Edgar and Carlos Enrique; fond aunt of many and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Repelin, son, Julio Cesar Castillo and brother, Oscar Maurico Repelin. Visitation Saturday, September 2, 2023, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., a memorial service to celebrate Rosemary’s life will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Pablo Chicol officiating and Sunday, September 3, 2023, 9:00 a.m. until time of prayers 10:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.
