Katherine Rita Rohn

Katherine Rita Rohn, nee Brennan, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family, at as Kay called it the “respectable age of 97″, a proud 90 year resident of Elmhurst; beloved wife of the late Edward J. Jr.; loving mother of Kathy (Ron) Petersen, Nancy (Michael) Van Marm Edward J.,III (Pauline) and the late Susan (the late Louis) Groden; dear grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 2; dear sister of Patricia, Rosemary and the late James; cherished daughter of the late James and the late Catherine Brennan. A graduate of Rosary College, now Dominican University, Kay was a teacher for the majority of her life. Her fondest memories of childhood include attending summer camp where she was nicknamed “Pepper”. In retirement she enjoyed playing bridge and traveling the world. Visitation Monday, 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral 10:30 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
