Jim White and the entire White family have always been very special to the Bartons. We have many fond memories of short vacation trips to Wisconsin with them, family picnics and regular get-togethers. In retirement, Jim’s parents, Rose and Cecil, lived in Tampa, FL near my parents, June and Dick, for many years. They are all gone now along with other first cousins in the White, Barton and Johnson families. I am sure there is a big party going on in heaven now as his and our loved ones welcome him home to Jesus. God Bless Jim White and his family. Dick Barton

Maureen, Larry, and Carol, and families, I loved the White family as a kid. Loved when they came over on Sat. night and the parents played cards while we kids played outside.Aunt Rose brought those wonderful Italian pastries. The boys were respectful and honored their parents. We were so excited when the baby girl, Maureen was born. So my love goes out to you, my beloved cousins, and pray for peace during your grieving. Love, Janet Barton Kovich

I am sadden by hearing of Jim’s passing. He was a wonderful leader in district 16 to so many of us teachers.

Dear Maureen, Larry, Carol and families, please except my deepest sympathy. It is so hard to lose a loved one. I have so many happy memories of family gatherings and spending Christmas together. Do you remember the time Jimmy brought the wooden teeth to the family Christmas party and every kid there wanted them? I know he will be missed by all of you and your families, he was a great man. You will be in our prayers at this difficult time. Much love, Ruth Johnson Jarvis

I can hardly remember a family party that the White family wasn’t at. Graduations, showers, weddings and later on fundraisers. Many day trips, picnics and get together were spent with our two families and I hold each member and memory close to my heart. Uncle Jimmy played a big part in making my dream of being a teacher come true by giving me my first job teaching summer school. I always loved stopping in to see him while visiting my dad because he was always genuinely happy to see me. When times were rough, he would always tell me that he and his family were there for me and my family and he made good on that promise time and time again. Though life made it difficult to see him as often as I would have liked, I love him and will miss him greatly. To Auntie Carol, Jimmy, Becky and Dennis, I love you guys and am so sorry I can’t be there for you all tomorrow and Monday. I’ll be thinking of you all and if you ever need anything, I’m here.

Love, AnnMarie, Leo and the kids

I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. As young people we had many, many good times together. My memories seem so vivid of the parties and bars and especially the “club” where we all seemed to need each other to grow up. Time flies way too fast !! God Bless Carol and the kids during this hard time. My prayers are with all of you.
