Walter Thompson in Chicago and D’Arcy, St. Louis; avid reader, bridge player, library volunteer, White Sox and Bears fan; beloved husband of Carol, nee Willett and the late Mary Ellen, nee Milnamow; loving father of Michael Greifenkamp, Megan (Christopher) Smith, Bridget (Glen) Quast, Louis and the late Matthew Greifenkamp; proud grandfather of Alexander (Taylor) and Mary Ellen Greifenkamp, Madison and Valerie Smith and Richard and Steven Quast ad great-grandfather of Milo Greifenkamp; dear brother of Joseph (the late Sheila) and Katherine Greifenkamp, Mary (the late David) Sparks and the late Tom (the late Arlene) Greifenkamp, Polly (the late Joe) Librizzi, Laura (the late Manny) Greifenkamp-Rancer and Rick Greifenkamp; fond uncle of many. Friends and family will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 24, 2025, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur Street, Elmhurst.
