My deep condolences to the entire Baer clan from an old neighbor. It was a pleasure growing up next door you all – with all those kids there was always something going on! And at the calm center was Mr. Baer (and of course Mrs. Baer) – impossibly youthful looking throughout the years. So sorry for your loss, Mrs. Baer, Ruth Ann and all the “boys”.

From the moment we first met Dick and Ann 20+ years ago, our love for them has only grown stronger over the years. We’ve traveled together, celebrated our faith together, laughed together and fellowshipped together.
Our hearts break at the loss of Dick, but we can rejoice knowing he may have already met his loving and faithful Jesus.
Now, Ann, we will focus our prayers and attention on your well-being by walking this journey hand in hand with you.
We thank God for your large and loving family who will be providing you love and comfort.

I just watched all 28 minutes of the wonderful video you all put together that showed Dick’s life. What a long and rewarding life it was! Dick and Ann had a long marriage and a large active and loving family. When Dick retired, they moved to Decatur, Michigan and became our neighbors, friends, travel, and boating companions. We especially loved the trip to Germany to see and also travel with Chris and Ruth Ann and little Austin. Even when Dick and Ann moved from Decatur, we stayed in touch and visited most of the new places they lived. Dick was a great friend and a man who showed his faith by how he lived. We got to know each of their children and their families over the years. We will miss Dick. But we will not forget him as he leaves us with so many memories of our times together.
May God continue to be with Ann and to comfort her and the family she and Dick made and loved so dearly.
Love, Joan and Brown Grosvenor

Dear Ann, I am so sorry to hear of Dick’s unexpected passing and yet am assured that it is not without hope that you grieve. During your time at JAARS he was an inspiration to me in our Accounting work: quiet, steady, and wise. I am thankful for both of you serving the Lord and it was evident that was your priority. Please know that we will be thinking of and praying for you. All our love, Kathy Schanely.
