When I received notice that I was selected to become a Captain for American Airlines, I spent the next 5 weeks in our flight school in the Dallas area.
Then it came time to fly on the line with passengers and Bill was selected as my instructor. We flew to Tucson and had a night there. The next day to
San Francisco where we met my sister and husband and I bought lunch and then back to Tucson for the second night. Day three back to Chicago and my official sign off as a Captain! What an exciting time, and you can imagine the information Bill gave me. How does one learn all those things?
Well, he did know so much, and I had the pleasure to absorb all the information!!! What a great guy and instructor. It was my pleasure to pass on some of his knowledge to my students in later years. We need more guys like him.
