Amy Patrice Lewicki, age 37, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24th, 2021 at her home in Elmhurst surrounded by her loving family. Amy courageously fought a four-year battle with colon cancer, exhibiting strength and grace each and every day. Amy was grateful for her friends, family and the Elmhurst community for their unwavering love and support. We know her spirit will live on through them and especially through her beloved Emma.

While cancer took Amy much too soon, Amy lived life to the fullest every day and was a friend to all who met her. A lifelong learner, Amy graduated from Glenbard East High School (2001), she received an undergraduate degree from DePaul University (2006), a Masters of Business Administration from Argosy University (2010), and a Masters of Education from Argosy University (2013). Amy was a valued member of the Argosy University team and supported thousands of Argosy University students during her many years as an employee.

Amy was the loving wife of Michael; devoted mother of Emma; cherished daughter of Carol and James Warren and daughter-in-law of Jerry and Gail Lewicki; dear sister of Alicia (Rob) Cavin and the late Ann Warren and sister-in-law of Lisa (Jim) Drew and Anthony Lewicki; dear aunt of Tyler and Luke Drew and Katelyn Cavin.

Dear Michael, Emma, and family members. So sorry to hear of the passing of such a special person to us all. Amy became much bigger to the world than she could ever have imagined. Her footprints are indelible and will always be a part of the world that Amy touched. I will be forever thankful that Amy was a part of my life when we worked at Argosy University. Even though my wife and I have been living in the Cayman Islands for the last 3 years, Amy still remained in contact with us. She certainly showed grace, gratitude, and incredible strength of how to be greatful every day. Please accept my sincere condolences and continue knowing that Amy made a difference in the people she met, and the places she went.

Amy was simply one of the best people I knew. She was so kind and loving and always had a smile on her face. As cousins go you really could not ask for a better one. Every time I saw Amy throughout my life she brightened my day by her easy going spirit and big smile. She always genuinely wanted to know what was going on in your life because that was the kind of person Amy was. Always thinking about and caring for others. Amy was a wonderful wife to Mike and mother to Emma and I know they will dearly miss her. She was also a great sister and daughter. Her courage throughout her battle with cancer was truly inspirational to all of us who loved her. I am going to miss you very much Amy but I know you are with God now in a beautiful place.
