Our sincere sympathy to the family of my cousin Pat Lange, especially Ed and Bob Sandner, on Pat’s passing. We have many memories of Pat and Gill from all the years we’ve known them. I have memories of from when we were kids and we went to Gandpa Frank”s place in Round Lake and the O’Leary’s house in Elmhurst in the 1940’s and 1950’s. I fell into O’Leary’s creek a couple of times. It was always great to get together with the Sandners, O’Learys and Linnewehs. It’s really sad that with the virus we won’t be able to do it again, for now. I hope all are well and able to do as much as possible. We miss you and we miss Pat.
For any who don’t know me, I am Bill Lorek, son of Frank and Charlotte Lorek of Elmhurst. Charlotte was “Frank” (Francis) Gunnell’s (of Round Lake) older daughter. Her sister was Marie Tapper and her brother was Francis Gunnell.. When they were children they lived in the same apartment building as Evelyn O’leray, Dorthey Sandner and Norma Linniwhey. They kind of grew up together and felt very close. They lived one floor below and played on the fire escape stairs!

Pat and Gil Lange were wonderful people to grow up next to. When my mother grew older Pat and Gil always watched out for her. The Peters family was truly blessed to have Pat and Gil Lange along with their family as neighbors.
