Tim, I cannot tell you how sorry I am for the loss of your Jackie. I remember you two as high school sweethearts; truly a lifetime love.
I’m so very grateful to have seen you both at our reunion which you both worked so hard to organize. Thank you again. You and your family are in my prayers. Mary

Thanks , Jackie for your never ending smile and warm hugs. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend. We had great times at Emerson, and even more fun after school was over. We were Berwyn Buddies for years and years. I’m sorry you had to go so soon. You will be in my heart always.❤️

    Tim, Meghan and Family,

We are shocked and deeply and profoundly sadden by the sudden passing of Jackie. John and I just loved her so much. Jackie was so much fun! I loved to hear about her passion for reading and her grandbabies. We always had so much to talk about and she was always so positive about everything in life. It is no wonder that she was such a positive inspiration to her students, colleagues, and family. No doubt Jackie is the brightest of Heaven’s angels. We will miss her so much!!!

    Dear Tim, Meghan, and Family,

My sincere and deepest condolences for you at the loss of Jackie. I was deeply sadden to hear the news of her passing. I worked with her for many years at Emerson School. I found her to be a kind, warm, loving, and giving person. She was a beloved teacher to all of the students that were lucky to have had her. She was very generous to me in my first years as a starting educator. We had so many good times working with the students and our fellow teachers. I will cherish those memories as well as the ones of her and other teacher friends at fun after school get-togethers, events like my wedding and retirement parties. I’m so grateful that I got to know her.

Jackie always spoke with such love for her family. I wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Words can not begin to express my deep sorrow at the loss of Jackie. Jackie was a teacher to my sisters and me. Jackie was a coworker and colleague when I grew up and taught at Emerson with her. Jackie was a family friend. She was the reason I am a teacher today. Her teaching style was ahead of its years. We were doing project based learning before the internet even existed! Jackie loved and cared for all who crossed her path. The world needs more Mrs. Costellos!

Ms. Costello was my 5th grade teacher. I now teacher middle school, and I guess that says it all. I had great teachers in school that modeled the type of contribution that I could make in the profession, and Ms. Costello was certainly one of those teachers. She was always kind, and she encouraged us to think about our community. In particular, I remember a lesson in which we read a children’s book that told the story of Columbus’ arrival from the perspective of Native Americans. Thank you for being my teacher, and my condolences to your family and everyone who knew you well. Greg Kocourek

Hi Greg: Thank you for your kind remembrance of Jackie, your 5th Grade teacher. She loved teaching and she loved her students. And I am pleased that you are now teaching Middle School. I hope Jackie influenced your decision to be a teacher in some small way. All the best to you, Greg.
