Mr. Manion was one of the nicest persons we have ever met. He was always in good humor and glad to see his friends. We will miss him.

Tom Manion was the nicest guy — AND the most helpful and knowledgable electrician ever! I worked at Northern Trust for years, I was a young manager and he’d been there a while when we met. But I quickly learned that any building or facilities issue I encountered, he knew what it was and how to fix it, or he knew who to get involved. And he was funny and interesting! He never let any dopey rules get in the way of getting a job done well! I thought the world of him. We were similar Irish Catholics: I learned that he was from Elmhurst (where I grew up) and that his daughter Colleen knew my sister Maura. Small world! I know that now, the angels and saints are enjoying Tom as much as we did at Northern Trust! God bless him and God bless his lovely family… Melissa Mueller
