Brendan John Gallagher, age 25, of Elmhurst, York Community High School Class of 2010; student at DePaul University; dearly beloved son of John and Margo, nee Murray; loving brother of Katie and Kellyann; deeply cherished grandson of Elizabeth (nee Harrington) and the late Thomas Gallagher and James ”JJ” and the late Georgia “GG” Murray (nee Lennon); dear nephew of  Pat and Beth Gallagher, Tom and Mara Gallagher, Colleen and Mike Caveney, James Gallagher, Jim Murray and Cheryl Ziering, Michael and Terri Murray, Beth and Bill Schrader, Annette and Bob Sullivan; and loving cousin to Mike, Pat, Sam, Abby, Tommy, Tara, Patrick, Kaela, Kenny, Sean and Julia.

Brendan lived life to the fullest. He shared much love and laughter with family and friends. He excelled in sports and was always a great teammate. He had an adventurous soul, loved to travel, and take Finn for long walks.  Brendan was always learning from new experiences and from the people he met along his journey. He worshiped the sun, the mountains, and the tranquility of a lake while fishing. He was an avid reader, always loved a new book and enjoyed a good discussion on literature. Brendan will forever be remembered by his loved-ones for all the lives he touched, his big bear hugs and his radiant smile.

Brendan was always one of the nicest young men. He had a contagious smile and laugh that was just as strong. He made sure no one felt left out in every school setting. He was an all around amazing guy. We will miss him dearly. My condolences to all of the Gallagher Family, you will all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
