Kilcullen, age 60, suddenly, beloved husband of Jacqueline, nee Zanetti; loving father of Caitlin, Patrick and Conor; dear brother of Jeff (Linda) and Kris (Doug) Smith; uncle of many nieces and nephews; cherished son of the late Joseph Kilcullen and the late Mary Patricia Wingert. John’s family is so grateful and deeply touched by the show of love and support they have received throughout this difficult time from family and friends. John loved life and will be missed deeply by those who loved him. Visitation Monday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst. Jackie, Caitlin, Patrick, Conor- I am so saddened for your family. John was a great guy and will be missed by many, including his fur friends. His love for his family was obvious when he talked about all your family vacations. He was a special friend and I am blessed to have had him in my life.

To the Kilcullen Family- I worked with John for 12 years at Concept. I not only loved his sense of humor, but loved his knowledge that he used to share with us at the lunch table. He would pretty much tell us tales of his youth, but also was a fountain of interesting information, insightful, , meaningful opinions that he would share. We loved to gather at the lunch table to not only hear his wisdom, but to learn from him. He was not only a colleague, but a friend.
I can only imagine your loss of someone so special. I pray you find comfort in the fact that he touched our lives as well. I know he loved you all, and was so very proud of his family He will be sorely missed! I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you all!

I only knew John as a mentor at Supreme Great Lakes, John was always eager to help, a gentle attitude and a Great Trainer. He will be missed. I am sure that he is in the presents of our Lord and Savior. The man they called “Killer” was a man who would kill you with kindness and comedy. Growing up in Elmhurst, John was someone who our group looked up to in every aspect of life.
