I met Laurie when I hired at a contractor at Follett. We became acquittances quickly. We shared a lot with each other. She told me how she and Fran connected. It was our secret . We stayed in touch until about 2006.

At about 2 am this morning, Laurie’s name flashed across my mind after over 10 years. This prompted me to look on social media for her. When I could not find her on any social media, I decided to Google her name. To my surprise, I saw this post of her transition. It was a surreal moment for her name to flash before me after all these years. It’s no coincidence. We had a special connection. I’m glad she let me know.

Laurie was an amazing woman who was full of life. She always talked highly of her children. I pray the peace, comfort and joy of God sustain you during this difficult time.

    Much love

    Rita Williams
