Braniff, Sr, age 87, formerly of Elmwood Park and Sanibel Island, FL, currently of Western Springs; retired partner with Nicholson, Porter & List; a man of many interests who always appreciated family and times well spent; beloved husband of Mary Alice, nee Moran for almost 70 years; loving father of Peg (Bob) McCall, Caryn (Scott) Klein, Eileen (Phil) Mesi, James, Jr. (Christine), Thomas (Carolyn), Sean John (Saci McDonald), Sheila (Angel) Portuondo and Maura (Thomas) Doherty; proud grandfather of Patrick (Megan) and Dan (Kelly) McCall, Amy (Don) McCall-Alip, David (Annie) and Molly McCall, Jim (Lily) and Phillip (Kate) Weglarz, Jenna (David) Weglarz-Ward, Melissa (Michael) Burns, Alicia Mesi, Natalie (Grant) Cavaliere, James Francis (Shannon) Braniff, Brianna (Brett) Volini, Michael, Megan and Matthew Braniff, Karina (Travis Nichols), Kimberly (Hunter Cambon) and Kevin (Tabitha Kitchen) Portuondo, Thomas, III, Matthew Braniff, Caileigh and John Doherty and great-grandfather of 29; dear brother of Terri Hurt and the late Mary Eileen (John) Rodrigo.
