Arthur L. “Doc” Caso, passed away suddenly, longtime dedicated Scoutmaster, Troop 77, Elmhurst; former English professor at Elmhurst College; beloved husband of Krysia, nee Kotarba; devoted father of Marya (Thomas) Gibbons and Nicola (Brian) Doherty; cherished Papa Doc of Thomas, Daniel, Evan, Maren, William, Declan, Ryan and Elliott; dear brother of Christine (David) Hinkley; fond uncle of Anne (Earl Zwicker) Colombero, Mark (MerriAnn) Hinkley, Kristin (Guy) Savage and David (Margie) Hinkley and great-uncle and great-great-uncle of many. Visitation Sunday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst.     Hello my dear family,
    I loved Uncle Arthur so dearly and am so sorry I cannot be there to hug all of you! I’ll always remember him eating a giant turkey leg while wearing a Viking helmet one year at Thanksgiving. Uncle Arthur was a rare gem of a man and he will be dearly missed. I am lucky to have known him.

    My deepest condolences to Krysia and the entire family! Mr. Caso was one of our first instructors when St. Joseph High School opened on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands in September, 1967. He was also the organizer and advisor of the first high school drill team in the islands.
    Just 2 months ago, he celebrated the 50th anniversary of our graduation. We were honored and pleased that he could join us. He left the islands with some very pleasant memories which he share with his family and friends.
    Mr. Caso was much beloved, and he will be missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace!

    Mrs. Caso and family please accept my this heartfelt expression of condolences on your tremendous loss. I , like Wilfred and the many other members of the St. Joseph`s Catholic School Class of 1967 was motivated and impressed by Mr. Caso`s dedication to our learning and holistic development. I am fortunate to have been one of his students and I will forever remember our last conversation and photo session on June 4, 2017 at our classes 50th Anniversary. We will forever love him. May God rest his soul!
